Construction (rear) tire , also known as flotation tire, with an external diameter of 755 mm , an internal diameter of 415 mm and a width of 265 mm .

Properly selected tires allow for maximum use of the tire's driving properties and translate into better use of the tractor's power. A properly selected tire should be in contact with the ground surface with the entire tread face. Low-profile tires are recommended for large machines used mainly for transport on even and long sections, while high-profile tires are recommended for small and medium-sized machines, where driving characteristics require the use of narrow-width tires. Tires are divided into two main groups:

• Radial tires / R / (carcass fibers relative to the tire side reinforcement at a right angle). The tire is resistant to mechanical damage, but is more durable and more economical to operate the tractor. A tire with a larger contact surface can operate at reduced and increased pressure and compacts the soil less. It allows you to change the tractor's field tasks.
• Diagonal tires /D/ (carcass fibers relative to the reinforcement of the tire sides at an acute angle). The tire is very resistant to mechanical damage, requires high pressure, and compacts the soil more. The tire is designed to operate in difficult terrain conditions and with constant air pressure.

What size tire?

Tire sizes are most often given in inches (inch; abbreviation or symbol: in or ″) and are a series of numbers and letters indicating the tire width, profile height and construction type, tread type and rim diameter. A 12-16.5 tire is a tire:

• 16.5 - outer diameter,
• 12 - width,
• 12PR - number of canvases.

Additionally, the tire contains information about the number of X PR canvases, the speed index, e.g. TT , and the maximum tire load in kg or lbs.

Improperly selected tires may damage the tire or machine or create a danger to people and animals, and may affect work comfort and operation, e.g. fuel consumption. Maintaining proper tire pressure allows for optimal use of tire driving properties, machine power and extends their life.
