The drill rig is a universal device designed for earthworks.
This is a very useful machine on the farm, it is used to quickly dig holes in the ground. Thanks to it, we save time, and the effects of our work are definitely more satisfactory than digging by hand. An earth auger is a device that requires power from a tractor or another machine equipped with a PTO shaft to operate. The drill is suspended on the tractor's three-point linkage.
How does a drill rig work?
The device is designed for digging vertical holes. The auger itself is a replaceable part. If necessary, it is possible to buy just the auger with a larger or smaller diameter. The digging depth is the range at which the tractor's three-point linkage works.

When choosing an earth drill, you should take into account that a greater number of turns affects the greater digging depth, but creates greater resistance and requires the use of greater tractor power.

It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.
