A seal is a rubber ring (also called a simmering, Simmer ring after the inventor), which is most often made of rubber or other plastic that meets the assumed technical requirements. A simmer is used to seal rotating elements of a system with a maximum internal pressure of up to 0.1 MPa and which, during operation, are immersed, most often in a funnel, various types of lubricants, and sometimes gasoline or water.
