The main task of the O-ring sealant is to seal in places where there is no high pressure, but also places subject to high pressure. The O-ring sealant, under the influence of high pressure, acquires properties similar to those of a liquid (surface tension, plasticity, etc.), which gives very good sealing properties. The O-ring sealant is also resistant to high temperatures during operation, and the selection of the appropriate one depends on its purpose and the material from which it is made. O-ring seals in high-pressure devices require the use of a special support ring.
