Engine piston rings (piston 5-23-201-39) with a diameter of 82 mm and a thickness of 2.00 x 2.00 x 4.00 mm for Yanmar tractors of the Yanmar YM2001, Yanmar YM2010, Yanmar YM2020 series with Yanmar 3T82B, Yanmar 3TNA82 and other engines.
Piston rings seal the space between the piston and cylinder walls. During combustion of the fuel mixture in the engine chamber, chemical energy is exchanged for mechanical energy, which is why the tightness of these two components is crucial. Another important role of piston rings in an engine is to scrape excess oil from the cylinder walls during piston movement, ensuring proper lubrication. There are three basic types of rings in internal combustion engines:
When replacing the rings, pay particular attention to the order in which they are positioned on the piston. Install the rings in the correct order: the oil control ring first, the compression ring second, and the oil seal ring third.
