The hand throttle lever is the element that acts as a control element.

The lever's function is to determine the appropriate acceleration independently of the accelerator pedal. In agricultural tractors, manual throttle control allows for maintaining a constant engine speed, which is convenient for long-term operation and for operating PTO-driven machinery requiring constant engine speed.

Using the hand throttle, we can set the idle speed when reaching the destination or a higher speed during field work without having to constantly keep our foot on the gas pedal, which can be troublesome during longer work.
