How to measure a V-belt?

The standard V-belt has two length values, Ld and Li . The length of Li is the inside length and the length Ld is the so-called the pitch length, according to the ISO standard, can be simply called the external length, but it is the length measured at the strongest constructional point of the belt. V-belt designations are usually a capital letter of the alphabet denoting the belt cross-section (mm) Z, A, B, C, D and length. The simplest division of belts on sale are narrow-profile belts, classic belts, narrow-profile toothed and classic toothed belts.

A V-belt is a component that transmits power from the engine or transmission to an attachment or device. V-belts are the most frequently wearing parts of agricultural machinery due to the material they are made of and damage resulting from overloading during machine operation. A worn V-belt should be replaced as soon as possible to prevent accidents or damage to the machine.
