Engine piston , outer diameter 80 mm, for LS Tractors, LS MT1.25 series.
ITEM No. 1 MARKED IN BLUE ON THE GRAPHIC
The engine piston is a moving element responsible for converting gas and the energy produced during combustion into the crankshaft, and thus into engine power.
The piston is connected to the crankshaft by a component called a connecting rod with pin connections. At the top of the piston are annular channels for seating the piston rings, and inside is a hub for connecting to the connecting rod. At the top is the so-called crown, which may have a different shape depending on the engine type.
Due to their operation in very difficult conditions, engine pistons are most often made of aluminum and silicon alloys.
