Product description
The torsional vibration damper for LS Tractor tractors (LS R41, LS R43, LS R50, LS R60 , and others) is a device connected to the crankshaft, designed to reduce torsional vibrations. Vibrations generated by the crankshaft are transferred to downstream components of the drivetrain, such as the gearbox and drive shafts. The torsional vibration damper reduces harmful vibrations to these components, also improving ride comfort.

A damaged torsional vibration damper is manifested by a characteristic noise and knocking noise heard while driving, especially when adding or removing gas, as well as a significant amount of vibrations that appear especially at low engine speeds and under heavy load, e.g. when driving uphill in a high gear.

It's best to read the markings on the side of the old V-belt. If they are illegible, measure the belt width and its outer length (La). On Shibaura and Hinomoto tractors, it's important to regularly check the belt tension – too loose a belt will cause slippage and faster wear, while too tight a belt can cause alternator or water pump bearing failure.
