The choke cable is a mechanical element that is used to manually control the air supply to the engine during starting, especially in older models of tractors with petrol engines or some with diesel engines. Its task is to enrich the fuel-air mixture by restricting the air supply, which makes it easier to start a cold engine. If the choke cable is not working properly, it is worth checking it and possibly replacing it with a new one to ensure the correct operation of the engine, especially during winter starts.
