Appropriate selection of the screw in terms of strength should be made before starting the assembly, because the shape of the screw and technical parameters may have a direct impact on the safety and durability of the connection. We distinguish 3 classes of bolt accuracy , i.e. A, B and C, and 10 classes (measured in mega pascals) of strength 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8 , 9.8, 10.9, 12.9 where the first digit is the tensile strength limit and the second yield strength relative to the first value (as a percentage). The higher the value, the greater the strength of the bolt, so 3.6 is the lowest quality bolt (low carbon steel) and 12.9 is the highest strength class (low alloy steel).
