Flail mower with combustion engine – what is an ATV mower?

A lawn mower with its own internal combustion engine , attached to various vehicles, is an ATV mower . Although there is no strict definition, simply put, it is a grass-cutting device that, thanks to its self-propulsion, does not require an external power source, such as a tractor's PTO shaft. Although it has an engine, it does not have a ground drive – it must be towed by another vehicle. The internal combustion engine is responsible only for powering the shaft or cutting blades.

Types of ATV mowers:

• ATV flail mower
• ATV grooming mower

Both types differ in the design of the cutting unit. Flail mowers use special flails (hammer blades) mounted on a shaft to handle dense vegetation and undergrowth. Grooming mowers, on the other hand, use rotating blades that operate similarly to a helicopter propeller, ensuring precise lawn cutting.

This model's engine is a 4-stroke, single-cylinder Briggs & Stratton, OVH 13.5 HP, petrol engine with manual start. The mower is self-propelled, allowing it to be used with a quad bike or off-road vehicle, for example. A balanced shaft with flail blades ensures smooth operation, while the high chopping speed ensures excellent results.

The mower can be adjusted:

• cutting height,
• side shift - easy access to the edges of fences or trees.

The ATVF is a front-mounted flail mower for ATVs, equipped with a mounting plate. Mounting it at the front of the vehicle provides excellent visibility and control while also reducing grass compaction – the blades reach the grass first, even before the ATV's wheels. The ATVF is an efficient machine for mowing grass, brush, wasteland, and other green areas. With its left- and right-hand shifting capability and the option of lifting using a winch mounted on the ATV (not included), the machine performs perfectly even in hard-to-reach areas, ensuring precise and comfortable operation.
