The air filter is an element located in the line supplying air to the intake manifold. The air filter is usually placed in a plastic or metal housing and often consists of two elements. The task of the air filter is to eliminate various types of contaminants floating in the air very thoroughly and precisely. Purified air has a direct impact on the proper operation of the engine and its individual components. The first signs of a worn-out air filter include reduced engine performance because a clogged, dirty air filter allows less air to pass through for proper engine operation. Always replace the air filter in accordance with the instructions of the filter or tractor manufacturer, and more often if the tractor operates in particularly difficult conditions.
