Connecting rod bearings () standard size for Kubota tractors with Kubota D1503 DI engines and others.
Connecting rod bearings are elements whose main task is to reduce friction at the point of connection of the connecting rod to the crankshaft. The bearings are two separable, semicircular elements that, when installed, create a circle. The bearings also have a small groove or cut through which the lubricant is distributed. The most common reasons for rapid wear of connecting rod bearings are: using oil with incorrect viscosity parameters, improper installation of the bearings, failure to comply with oil change intervals, low engine oil level, overloading the engine that has not reached the proper temperature.

The first signs of wear of connecting rod bearings are an unnatural, steady knocking coming from the engine. Worn bearings must be replaced with new ones as soon as possible, replacing the faulty element too late can cause serious damage to the shaft, connecting rod or engine.
