Tractor-mounted spreaders are extremely useful tools for winter road maintenance. They make it possible to spread salt or sand on the road surface effectively and quickly, which prevents freezing and ensures safety for drivers. Tractor-mounted spreaders are equipped with special hoppers for salt or sand, which is spread evenly by a rotating mechanism. This makes it possible to precisely control the amount of material spread and adjust it to road conditions.

It is intended for winter maintenance of roads, squares, car parks and pavements. The spread material can be salt, sand, grit or mixtures of these. In summer the spreader can be used to spread granular fertilisers on green areas, lawns, sports fields and parks.

What are the advantages of the N 065 municipal spreader?

• The durable construction and the parts that come into contact with the spread material, made of high-quality stainless steel, guarantee resistance to rust and long, trouble-free operation.
• The hydraulic-electric drive and control system operated from the cab gives the operator full control of the machine without having to leave the vehicle. This increases comfort and safety at work.

The spreader (hopper) and the components directly involved in spreading, such as the agitator, the spreading disc with vanes, the guards and the boundary spreading attachment, are made of acid-resistant stainless steel.

The capacity of the hopper alone is 600 L. The spreader is driven by the tractor's power take-off shaft (PTO). The spreading width is adjustable in the range of 1.5 - 8 m. The spreader frame has a 3-point hitch (TUZ), Cat. II, and is made of painted and welded sheet steel.

Working with the spreader - how to use it correctly?

Correct operation of the spreader requires following these recommendations:

• use dry material free of impurities and lumps,
• use an agitator designed specifically for the material being spread,
• set the PTO shaft speed according to the material being spread
• raise the spreader so that the spreading disc is about 0.7 m above the ground, and keep the spreader correctly levelled,
• to avoid lateral movement during work, adjust the arms of the tractor's hydraulic lift with the stabilisers
• while driving, maintain a constant speed of the unit and a constant rotational speed of the spreading disc,
• when opening and closing the metering openings at headlands, take into account the spreading range to the rear,
• when setting off, engage the PTO shaft first, and then open the metering slide in the hopper, keeping to this order.

*Because of the considerable load that a loaded spreader represents, before loading check whether there is a risk of the tractor-spreader unit losing stability.
