Thermostat for Mitsubishi and Iseki tractors, dimensions 46 x 52 mm, fits Japanese Mitsubishi and Iseki tractors.
What is a tractor thermostat?
The coolant thermostat is one of the most important components of the cooling system and is responsible for controlling and regulating the temperature of the coolant. The thermostat is a device that operates under the influence of increased temperature, and its correct operation allows maintaining the correct temperature needed for the most efficient operation of the engine. When the temperature of the coolant rises to a certain level, the thermostat "opens" under the influence of heat, allowing the coolant to pass to the second circuit (radiator), which allows for effective cooling of the fluid, and further on the engine.
First signs of a faulty thermostat?
Engine overheating or very long engine warm-up to the appropriate operating temperature are the most visible symptoms of thermostat damage. Thermostat failure in the closed position causes engine overheating and is very dangerous for the engine, therefore after the coolant temperature warning light comes on, you should stop work as soon as possible and turn the engine off. A less dangerous situation is when the thermostat fails in the open position because water circulating in a large circuit affects the engine's failure to heat up and this is a failure less dangerous for the engine, but in the long run it also has an adverse effect and is harmful to the engine.
