How to measure a V-belt?

A standard V-belt is marked with two length values: Ld and Li. The length Li is the internal length and the length Ld is the so-called pitch length, according to the ISO standard, in simple terms it can be called the external length, but it is the length measured at the strongest structural point of the belt. V-belt markings are most often a capital letter of the alphabet indicating the cross-section of the belt (mm) Z, A, B, C, D and length. The simplest division of belts available on the market are narrow-profile belts, classic belts, narrow-profile toothed belts and classic toothed belts.

A V-belt is an element that is used to transfer power from the engine or transmission to the accessory or device.
