A V-belt is an element that is used to transfer drive from an engine or transmission to an accessory or device. V-belts are most often used to drive an alternator, coolant pump or compressor, and in agriculture, belts are used in agricultural devices and equipment that are subject to high rotational speeds. V-belts are the most frequently worn parts of agricultural machinery due to the material they are made of and damage resulting from overloads during machine operation.
