Q1210015 cylinder head valve seal for LS Tractor XR, XU, R, U series and others.

This is a small rubber seal whose main function is to prevent engine oil from entering the combustion chamber and exhaust gases from entering the cylinder head.

Valve stem seals ensure excellent sealing at the valve stems, where the valves enter the engine cylinder head. Symptoms of a worn or faulty seal include increased oil consumption and catalytic converter damage.

It's best to replace valve seals during a cylinder head overhaul, or if the engine begins to consume large amounts of oil. However, it's important to remember that this is a rather complex task requiring knowledge and experience, so it's best to entrust it to experienced mechanics.
