The push rod , or the push rod of a tractor's hydraulic piston, is a component whose primary function is to transfer longitudinal load, pushing out a piston housed in a cylindrical body. The push rod is mounted on a pin on one side, while the other, rounded part, freely engages the jack's piston socket.
