The fuel filter is one of the most important components of the fuel system, directly affecting the proper operation of the tractor. The filter's main task is to remove mechanical impurities and microorganisms from the fuel. Fuel filters are divided into two main groups based on their intended use. A gasoline engine will require a different type of filter than a diesel engine. Regardless of the fuel type, the filtering material consists of various types of filter paper based on polyester or cellulose fibers with the addition of synthetic fibers.

It's best to read the markings on the side of the old V-belt. If they are illegible, measure the belt width and its outer length (La). On Shibaura and Hinomoto tractors, it's important to regularly check the belt tension – too loose a belt will cause slippage and faster wear, while too tight a belt can cause alternator or water pump bearing failure.
