The EGR valve is a device responsible for exhaust gas recirculation in the tractor's exhaust system. The main task of the EGR solenoid valve is to limit the emission of harmful substances with the exhaust gases during engine operation. The EGR valve directs part of the exhaust gases to the engine's intake system, which reduces the oxygen content that goes to the combustion chamber. Reducing the combustion temperature, slowing down the combustion process, reduced amount of oxygen is the effect of the EGR valve, which thus reduces the amount of harmful substances.

The first signs of damage or a malfunctioning EGR valve are uneven engine operation, increased fuel consumption, stalling or problems with starting the engine. The EGR valve's task is to return part of the exhaust gases to the system, causing clogging with solid particles and, consequently, blocking in one of the valve's operating positions.
