A spacer sleeve (sleeve) is an element whose main task is to maintain a specific, predetermined distance between individual parts, elements or sets of parts in a mechanical structure. In addition to keeping a given part in a certain position, the spacer sleeve is responsible for heat transfer (consumption) in engines and mechanical devices, as well as resistance to high temperatures and chemicals. There are several types of spacer sleeves on the market, but most often it is a metal cylindrical element (sometimes hexagonal) made of resistant metal, copper or other metal alloy, with a cutter (breakaway sleeves) or with grooves, holes that allow better access of the lubricant to the contact surfaces of the elements.
